The Chemins de Cherbourg and de Barfleur are called "Chemins de Cherbourg" and "Chemins de Barfleur".Chemins aux Anglais"In the Middle Ages, it was used by the English on their way to Mont-Saint-Michel, often continuing on to Santiago de Compostela. The Way begins in England at Winchester Cathedral, with the Pilgrim Trail Winchester/Portsmouth2 stages, 47 km, signposted as the Chemin du Mont-Saint-Michel (on this English section, the signposting logo is green rather than blue).
