Everyone will be able to see two exhibitions on the cult of Saint Michael in Europe and the history of pilgrimages to Mont-Saint-Michel, from its origins to the present day. illumination workshopparticipate in medieval gamesfollow a conference on the history of the famous illuminated manuscripts from Le Mont Abbey and finally watch a animated film entitled "Brendan and the Secret of Kells which takes us back a thousand years to the famous Irish abbey to follow the adventures of a young monk who wants to become an illuminator.

All of these events, for all ages and particularly for families, will evoke medieval culture in the abbeys, and in particular the world of books and illuminations, which still inspire us to dream. It will also be an opportunity to recall the strong Montois and Miquelot identity of Bretteville-sur-Odon, a possession of the Abbey of Mont since the donation of the Duchess Gonnor in 1015, to revisit the sumptuous monumental ensemble of the Barony (13th-16th centuries) and finally to recall the passage, then as now, of the Miquelots who came from Caen and the surrounding area along this ancient Montais road.
