chapelle_st_roch_avant.png In July, a team of young volunteers restored two chapels in the commune of Batilly (Orne, new commune of Ecouché-les-Vallées), the modest chapel known as the "Thirteen Saints" and the chapel of the Saint-Roch de Mesnil-Glaiseoverlooking the River Orne, in a remarkable setting. These two projects benefited from a partnership between the "Art sacré Val d'Orne" association and the "Art sacré Val d'Orne" association. Arcade. At the end of this two-week campaign, the walls and interior of the Saint-Roch chapel were restored, a clou des Chemins du Mont-Saint-Michel was installed at the entrance and a exhibition on the Chemins du Mont is open to visitors and walkers throughout the summer. 10,000 walkers pass by the chapel every year, making it the gateway to the Suisse Normande region.
