The proposed route from Caen to Mont-Saint-Michel follows the old Roman road from Vieux to Avranches, used by the first known pilgrims to Mont-Saint-Michel before the year 1000. In 2025, to mark the thousandth anniversary of the first mention of Caen in the archives, we are offering you a route that goes back more than a thousand years via Évrecy and Saint-Sever. From the heart of Normandy to the Bocage countryside, pilgrims have travelled through all these areas on their way to Mont-Saint-Sever, leaving their mark on the collective memory of this rediscovered land. Follow in their footsteps and become a miquelot!
